MONDAY 27th JULY 2020 - Covid Update : FACE TO FACE SESSIONS TO RESUME
As we head towards the end of July, there’s no doubt the past few months have been challenging for everyone. I hope you have managed to draw positives from what has been at times very difficult.
Moving into the next stage now requires yet another adjustment and the hoped for ‘back to normal’ is still some way off. Yet for many reasons it’s important we try to establish a new normal, not least for mental well-being.
So with that in mind, with effect from Monday 27th July I will restart face to face therapy sessions for those who feel ready.
Phone, Zoom or Skype calls will continue to be available for as long as necessary so if you currently have sessions this way, you can continue to do so if you wish.
If you opt to return to face to face sessions please be reassured I will be following Government guidelines with the following measures in place:
Hand sanitiser for use on arrival and departure
Furniture disinfected between clients
Individually wrapped packs of tissues supplied
Minimum of one hour between clients to allow for cleaning
Existing clients : If your sessions were put on hold at the start of lockdown, I will contact you separately regarding your needs.
Please do get in touch if you have any queries or if you would like to make an appointment.
Tuesday 24th March 2020 Covid 19 - Update on practice arrangements
Following last night's Government announcement, I have now made the difficult decision to cease face to face therapy sessions with immediate effect, until further notice. I'm sorry this is necessary and understand how disruptive this is for some of you, but I thank you for your understanding in these difficult times. The priority is for us all to stay as safe as possible.
I'd like to reassure you that I continue to be available for support via either phone, skype or zoom but appreciate some clients may prefer to put sessions on hold for a while.
Online and phone sessions can feel different to in-person meetings, so there is now an additional option for a 30 minute session if required, whether that's to continue with specific issues or for support relating to the current situation.
I’m committed to continuing to provide support for those who need it, particularly in these challenging times.
We WILL get through this.
Please do get in touch if I can be of any assistance.
Take care and stay well,
Tues 17th March 2020 Update on Therapy Sessions during Coronavirus
With recent events, things are changing very rapidly, and many of us are having to make significant changes to our daily lives, so I’d to update you on the situation regarding therapy sessions.
At this stage, I am still available for face to face sessions if required, as long as you do not have any symptoms and I remain well. In order to reduce risk as far as possible, a safe distance will be maintained, with no physical contact. For the time being I will no longer provide a box of tissues so please ensure you have your own. The therapy room is used only by me, is cleaned regularly and handwashing facilities are available.
In addition to face to face sessions I am also offering either telephone or online skype sessions for all clients, so if you would prefer this as an alternative to face to face then we can make arrangements for this.
Of course, government advice may change, but I will update you as and when necessary. It’s likely the time will come when face to face is no longer possible for a while, but please be reassured I am here to continue to support you.
It’s a worrying time and many people feel anxious and afraid, so the service I provide becomes even more necessary as more support is needed.
Over the coming days and weeks I will be posting on my facebook page with tips and strategies to help with anxiety and concerns over the coronavirus and any updates will also be posted on my website regularly.
If you currently have a 6 week package then I’m extending the time limit for expiry from 6 months to 12 months until further notice.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions, concerns or if you’d like to change your appointment to online or phone.
