Once you've decided to take the next step, we'll arrange an initial consultation.
This first session lasts around 75 minutes ( which gives us extra time to get to know each other, and for me to gain an understanding of where you are and where you'd like to be. )
The therapy room is a comfortable, safe, confidential environment for you to take time to explore, understand and take action towards making changes in your life.
Sessions are informal yet solution-focused. There is no obligation to continue for a minimum number of sessions.
If you decide to continue with further sessions, I may make a recommendation about the number of sessions I feel you may need, but the choice will be entirely yours. After all, you'll know when you've made progress ! In any event, we will review progress regularly.
My aim is always to help as effectively and quickly as possible. That said, there is no
magic wand, and some longer standing issues can take a while, but we're talking weeks not years !
The approaches I use will be dictated by your individual circumstances, needs and preferences.
